Protect your future from doubts

Yes we have all heard “we control our own future”, is your future 5 years ago what you imagined it is today? How great would it be to control your past! It would be nice, so where I am going with this??? We all strive to control where we want to go in the future and this is important but add a focus point. Focus on your personal values as move towards your future. Five years ago my idea of the future is totally different from what I envisioned. Life and business changes constantly and you never know what the road ahead holds for us. As long as your core values are set and you stand by your values the decision you make are going to be the right ones for your future. Rather than trying to control your future, control one thing that nothing should be able to change, your personal values… I am sure you will grow your business and be able to look back and be satisfied.

Laid off or Unemployed? Create “Walk out your door income”

How crazy is it for unemployment to be at a reported 9.5% and locally in Indiana it is 10%. After speaking to plenty of these unemployed they all exclaim they have been looking for work and cannot find it. My response is WHY are you looking for work, what can you do? Now is the time to create your own future and do what you love! Get you a@# up and get passionate about what you want to do with your life! It is crazy that people say they have been looking for work for 7 months! Looking for work takes time and energy, think if you put that time and energy into your new business! Develop your new income stream for yourself.

Tools needed for walk out your door income?

1. Passion

2. Courage

3. The ability to leave all excuses at the door.

We had a great event! The planning, promotion and hard work was well worth it!

The turnout was phenomenal with a constant flow of people looking to start a business or get additional information to help their existing business. One seminar attendee Sabrina Hill is the Owner of Indy Bookkeepers, look what she had to say on WISH TV.

With such a great response we have started the planning for the next event. Details will be posted soon.

I build relationships and not businesses, although I am in business?

Those who sit with me at local Indianapolis C.A.S.N. meetings know, I love the business world and working for myself. They also know that I do not try to sell services or products at these meetings. Strange I know, most come to a meeting hoping to get new business but I almost always leave with no new business. Could this be a sign I am doing something wrong?

When I started my business a couple years ago, I took on a idea of how I was going to do business. Now, I am sure this is no new idea and not something I invented but it is something I challenge others to do. My idea was to simply not focus on building my business but to instead strictly focus on building relationships.

My reasons.

1. I knew building relationships was going to be a lot easier than building a business.

2. I knew more about relationships at the time than I did running my own business.

3. The best things in life grow from some form of relationship.

4. Finally, I figured if I treated each potential and new client like a marriage and the client saw this, then it would mean until death do us part. (Bad analogy I know since so many marriages fail but the good ones do survive and are very special)

So how has it worked out for me? It has been awesome! I have not only had the chance to meet some great people but I have learned much more and feel I have some of the best people around me. I find the relationships to be extremely valuable and find my clients are happier.
